Veneta Neynska

“If you can’t find meaning in every note you play, there is no reason to play it at all!” Guided by this principle in her music making, Veneta Neynska is a much-loved performer whose playing touches all hearts and minds. “Honesty in art is most important to me”, Veneta admits, “an audience can only relate to what you do, when feeling you are truly sincere and open to them”.

Devoted to the cause of making classical music more accessible and understandable for the general audience, Veneta’s latest project involves producing classical music videos with subtitles. The text provides useful information about the musical structure, history and meaning at exact moments, rather than having it all as programme notes disconnected from the actual music. Most of Veneta’s live performances are accompanied by subtitles on a screen.

Veneta Neynska’s music education started at her native country, Bulgaria. After graduating from the National School of Music with the highest honors, she moved to the USA to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree with the world renowned pianist John Perry at USC. A full tuition scholarship and the opportunity to study with Joan Havill, led her to London and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama for a Master’s Degree.
